Mesa Verde, Colorado

November 6, 2018

The expected gate entrance fee for Mesa Verde, in Colorado, is $10 to $15, depending on the time of year.

Upon entering, one could imagine their location to be fairly close to the bottom of “the mountain”, but only moments after continuing one’s travel onward, you may begin to feel as though you are traversing up a roller coaster. The open space that surrounds you and the height which you suddenly reach can make one feel clammy.

After reaching the top, all will seem like you are back on level ground, now that valleys within this mountain surround you instead of open cliffs.

The native homes built into the walls are neat, but there exist barbed-wire and metal gates to block your way.

There were plenty of rangers driving about and there were also construction trucks and many logged trees. but, no rangers to escourt someone through the attractions.

The trails are thick concrete paste. There were signs claiming that access was closed due to trail repair but this was not true.

A rest stop on the way out with a free-to-use telescope.
